New features and notable changes to EnsembleWriter.
- Feature release: Private draftsTry a rewrite nobody else can see. Start a private draft of any script, compare it with the shared one scene by scene and bring back the scenes that work.
- Feature release: Comments, replies and reviewersLeave a note on any passage of a script, reply to it, mention a co-writer and resolve it when it's handled. Invite producers, teachers and readers as commenters or viewers, so their notes never touch the pages.
- Feature release: Non-AI VerifiedEnsembleWriter now keeps a record of how every script reached the page: typed, pasted or imported. Turn on the badge and every PDF you export carries a signed certificate that a contest, a producer or a teacher can check for themselves.
- Feature release: The Beat BoardA new place to plan a story before you write it: a wall of index cards you can move, color and connect with arrows, with six story structures ready to drop in. It sits next to your script, on every project, and your collaborators see the same board.
- Feature release: Spanish, French and PortugueseSpell check now knows Spanish, French and Brazilian Portuguese as well as English, all at once and with nothing to set. A word is right if any of the four accepts it, so a script that switches language mid-line is never underlined for it.
- Feature release: A new Shot ListWe spent three months rebuilding the shot list. Every shot now has an overhead blocking plan you can drag around, the whole list syncs live between you and your crew, and it exports as a PDF, a CSV or a call sheet.
- Feature release: Reimagining the Visual ArcThe Visual Arc used to be a board where a card's position meant nothing. It is now two views that both say something about your script: a corkboard that groups your scenes into sequences on its own, and a tension curve across them.
- Feature release: Writing Goals (Inspired by "Morning pages")Goals tracks two streaks: the days you hit your word target, and the days you wrote anything at all. The second one is the one that matters, and the reason why comes straight out of The Artist's Way.
