How it works

Set it up once. Run it from one list.

No site licence to negotiate and nothing for IT to install. A teacher starts the plan from their school email address and manages it from their account.

Start the plan

Sign in with your school email, confirm the address from the link we send, and check out. The plan covers your school's email domain.

Invite the class

Paste a roster of school addresses. Each student gets a link, and joins with a new account or the one they already write in.

Add a colleague as an admin, resend a link, remove a class at the end of term. Everyone keeps their own scripts.

Their pages, their words

A writing class should teach writing. So the editor never writes the script for them.

Nothing in the script editor writes a line, and no ghost text finishes a sentence. The script a student hands in is the one they wrote.

The work

The editor never suggests, completes or rewrites a line of the script. The cursor waits for the student.

We don't train models on what anyone writes, and teachers see names and addresses, never scripts.

Questions

Who can join a school plan?

Anyone with an email address at your school's domain. A teacher invites people by pasting their school addresses, and there is no limit on how many join.

Can students use the account they already have?

Yes. A student who already writes under a personal email signs in from the invitation and brings their scripts with them. The account then uses their school address.

Can teachers read their students' scripts?

No. The plan shows names and email addresses, nothing else. A student shares a script the usual way, with a share link or by inviting you as a collaborator.

What happens at the end of the term?

Remove students from the plan whenever you like. They keep their accounts and every script, and go back to their own plan.

What counts as a school email address?

You can start a plan yourself from a .edu address, its national forms such as .edu.au, an academic domain such as .ac.uk, a UK .sch.uk domain, a US k12 district domain, or the domain of one of about 10,000 universities worldwide. For any other domain, or to pay by invoice, contact us.
